Are solar stoves allowed at campsites?

    Hi, Tatiana! Welcome to planDisney.

Ah, camping in the great outdoors. There's nothing like it, and I'm so excited you're planning to camp at the most magical campground of all, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. My family has stayed in the cabins there, and we are bringing our new travel trailer to the campsites later this year. When I stay at this resort, I feel like it's a vacation within a vacation because of all the fun activities there.

And I have some good news, Tatiana. I spoke with a friendly cast member who told me that solar stoves are allowed at the campsites. She added that open flames are prohibited, so if you are also planning to bring a fire pit, be sure it has a solid cover. So, with your solar stove, you'll be all set to rustle up some grub on your visit! I love the environmentally friendly aspect of those stoves. Maybe I need to go shopping before my visit!

When you arrive at the resort, I'd suggest snapping a photo of the Recreation Calendar so you'll have a handy guide with all the activities offered during your stay. One of my favorites is Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long. It's fun for all ages! If you're up for a little more adventure, rent a kayak and explore the waterways and ponds that meander throughout the resort.

I hope you have a wonderful visit under the stars, Tatiana! Stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
