    A SoCal resident wishes to buy me (a Canadian visitor) a 1 day ticket when I visit in June 2024. Can they buy a SoCal Resident ticket and put it in my name?

    How kind that someone wants to purchase a day of magic for you to experience the Disneyland Resort! I can share more information on ticket purchases and the So Cal Resident Ticket offer.

    The So Cal Resident ticket offer (3 day ticket with admission to 1 park per day) is actually only eligible for use now through June 2, 2024. Currently there is no So Cal Resident offer for a single day ticket. However, based on your listed arrival date, the current offer would expire prior to arrival. I should also share that Disneyland's So Cal Resident eligibility has very specific guidelines.

    • To purchase, guests will need to have a Southern California address listed in their Disney account profile showing residence within zip codes 90000 - 93599. While your friend may be able to purchase based on their residence, there are also usage guidelines.
    • To redeem and scan entry using that ticket, a valid government-issued photo ID must be presented at time of use for proof of residency. Unfortunately, even if the offer was still active, guests age 18 and over couldn't use the ticket unless they could provide proof of residency in Southern California. Children 17 and under do not need to provide identification.

    I'm sure that isn't exactly what you were hoping to hear. Your friend can still purchase a ticket on your behalf but it would not be at a special So Cal rate. Once purchased, they will link it to your Disney account and you can access it in the Disneyland mobile app. Whatever you decide, just know that there is a lot of magic happening this summer throughout the resort, like Pixar Fest!
