Hi Anna, welcome to planDisney!
Excited to see you'll be heading down Main Street, U.S.A. in no time! As a Magic Key pass holder, I love to hear when guests are considering a year of magic and I'm happy to shed insight on ticket upgrades at the Disneyland Resort.
Guests can upgrade regular admission tickets when Magic Key passes are available for sale. At this time, you can only upgrade to three of the four Magic Key pass types: Inspire, Believe, and Enchant. Even if your ticket was Monday-Sunday you can still upgrade to a pass that is blocked out on weekends. In order to upgrade, you'll want to ensure your tickets are linked to your Disney account in the Disneyland app. Once you're linked, head to the three bars on the bottom navigation. You'll see the "Tickets and Passes" button, click that to pull up your tickets. Eligible tickets for upgrade will populate an "Upgrade to a Magic Key Pass" section and from there you can do your upgrade. There are a few things to note when upgrading from a ticket:
- Any and all reservations made for the ticket will be cancelled when you upgrade. Check the Magic Key calendar to ensure the dates you want are available for that pass type.
- Multi-day tickets must upgrade by midnight Pacific time on the last day of your ticket. Since your pass ends on a Sunday, and if you want to go on a Sunday, you'll want to upgrade after you've redeemed your Sunday reservation to use that day on your ticket.
- The guest that is on the ticket must be the guest that is upgrading to the Magic Key pass.
Well, Anna, I sure hope that helps you make an informed decision on upgrading your
So Cal Resident tickets! There are many great
experiences happening throughout 2024, and we're almost there to see
Tiana's Bayou Adventure open later this year. Have safe travels to California and wishing you a magical visit!
Magic awaits!
