Greetings, fellow Floridian!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I see that my dEAR friend Angie has already answered one of your dining plan questions, so let’s keep up the trend!
Snacks are my favorite food at Walt Disney World Resort! From churros to Mickey pretzels, to candy floss, there is
something for every taste bud (or time of day!). We are grazers in our family, so we tend to use our snack credits the most, and find that a lot of snacks can double as meals. You’ve picked a fantastic time to bring your nephew to the Resort, Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts is on while you visit, and most of
the offerings in the Festival Kitchens are snack credits! I’m looking forward to sampling the Deconstructed Breakfast - a chai tea shake with candied bacon (because everything is better with bacon!).
I did some resEARch into the
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, and unfortunately, souvenir snacks are not included in the plan. A lot of the souvenir snacks also double as merchandise (which is not on the program), so that probably plays into them not being offered. FYI - allowed snacks also need to be a single serving. So anything that has multiple servings (think a box of doughnuts or jar of peanut butter) will not qualify.
The great thing is that with all the money you save with
the dining plan, you should have a bit of wiggle room with your souvenir budget. If you are looking for a treat to bring back home as a gift, I highly recommend the candy apples. There are usually specialty flavors, and are as delicious as they look! I love the
Apple Pie Caramel Apple, which tastes exactly like a pie, and is delectable!
Ray, if you have any other questions, please come back. We’re always ready to answer s’more of your questions!
