Do smoothies and non-alcoholic speciality drinks count as your "beverage" on the Dining plan?

This depends a bit on the restaurant and the kindness of your server, but generally specialty drinks and smoothies can not be counted as your beverage at your meals on the Dining Plan. For the most part, the beverage choices would be water, milk, soda, tea, coffee, and most juices. However, I have heard that guests might occasionally be able to get something different. The moral of the story is that it never hurts to ask for something you want at Walt Disney World. The worst they can do is say no.
