Welcome to planDisney, Elizabeth!
As a fellow dog mom, I completely understand your predicament. It’s so difficult to leave a furbaby behind when traveling! Thankfully, you won’t have to make that tough call, because you’ll be able to bring your canine companions along with you on your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Hooray!
Guests of
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground are permitted to have a maximum of four dogs per site (subject to a nightly fee), so long as you meet all the stipulations set forth in
the Resort’s Pet Friendly Policy. In a nutshell, the policy states that pets must be confined in the interior of your climate-controlled camper or kept on a leash at all times when outside, but they are not permitted in tents or pop-up campers. Make sure to click “Add” in the “Room and Amenity Requests” section during the booking process on the Walt Disney World Resort website to
request a pet-friendly loop for your stay.
Elizabeth, did you know there’s a doggy day care conveniently located on Walt Disney World Resort property for your furry family members? Yep, it’s true! You can drop off your dogs at
Best Friends Pet Hotel where they can enjoy playtime, walks, and even ice cream while you're off emBARKING on your own fun-filled day at the theme parks. Is that not some tail-wag-worthy good news?
I hope this information helps you breathe a great, big, beautiful sigh of relief, Elizabeth. Please stop by planDisney again with any future questions. We are more than happy to fetch another answer for you.
Believe in the magic,
Alyssa
