30 sleeps! staying at POR. Can we use our key to the world card for all purchases in the 4 parks, waterparks, downtown disney i.e. food, shop purchases, snack/juice stands rather than carrying credit card as well as room key card when we are out?

    Hi Kelly,

The vast majority of shops and restaurants at Walt Disney World do accept Key to the World charges. There may be a few tiny snack carts that don't take any form of charge, but these are few and far between. For these carts, you would need cash rather than any type of charge card.

As tempting as it might be to head off to the parks with just your KTTWC, I'm going to caution you against this. While the odds of this happening are extremely low, it is possible that you might encounter some sort of medical issue while you are out and about. During my many WDW travels, there has been twice when I've ended up going straight from a park to a medical care facility. If this were to happen to you, you'd want to have proof of insurance cards, proper ID such as a driver's license, cash, and a credit card with you.

You should also know that the Disney shops often ask for photo ID when using the KTTWC to make purchases over $50.

Having three or four cards in your pocket won't weigh you down much, and they could make a big difference in a challenging situation.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
