Disney Skyliner has undergone routine maintenance at the end of January for the last two years. In 2022, it was down for maintenance from January 23rd through January 28th. In 2023, it was closed from January 22nd through January 29th. We haven't yet been told if or when Disney Skyliner will be closed for maintenance in 2024. If we look at past years, it's probable that it will close for the final week of January. However, we don't know until we hear official word from Disney. Therefore, I'd encourage you to keep an eye out for any announcements on
Disney Parks Blog. If Disney Skyliner is closed, Disney will provide complimentary bus transportation to take you to and from the theme parks.
I know that the thought of Disney Skyliner being closed for your trip is terribly disappointing, Michelle. I'm always sad when I book a Disney vacation and then find out that something I set my heart on experiencing is closed. However, despite the initial disappointment, I still always manage to have a "practically perfect" time. There are so many magical things to experience and enjoy at Walt Disney World Resort.
