I am a huge fan of the
Disney Skyliner! So much so that I have a Skyliner t-shirt, a Skyliner
MagicBand, and you had better believe I had my eye on that shiny red stainless steel Skyliner tumbler! This refillable mug was offered as an upgrade option to the resort refillable mug program, where Guests are eligible for unlimited refills on soft drinks at the beverage islands at any
Disney Resorts Collection hotel during the length of their stay. Because I was staying solo for just a couple of days on that particular trip, I convinced myself that I should purchase the tumbler on my
next trip, since I would be staying much longer with my family, and would therefore get more use from the refillable mug during that trip. Unfortunately, the Skyliner tumbler was no longer available. I stopped in at all the quick-service dining locations along the Skyliner route to check. Todd, I am sorry to say I have kept looking for over a year now, and have not been able to locate that red Skyliner tumbler. Lesson learned - from now on when I see an item that catches my eye, I make sure to purchase it right away!
Todd, if you are interested in owning a Skyliner tumbler for personal use at home, I have seen some for sale on popular internet resale sites. I know that is not exactly the news you hoped to hear.
The refillable mugs currently available are plastic mugs in a
50th Anniversary Celebration design with a cute Mickey-shaped flip-up lid. Whether additional stainless steel versions will be offered again in the future, I cannot say.
