Nichole,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Unfortunately no, you cannot take the
Disney Skyliner directly to the
monorail that would then transport you to the
Magic Kingdom Park and surrounding resorts.
Before Disney started the
theme park reservation system, you could have done something close to what you suggest, assuming you had a park hopper ticket. You could take the Skyliner to the International Gateway entrance to
EPCOT, walk through that park, then hop on the monorail to continue your journey. The walk is about 7/10 of a mile (a little over 1 kilometer), but it is a nice way to travel, if you are not in a rush.
You can still do this, if you have a park hopper ticket, if you have a theme park reservation at EPCOT, if it is after 2 pm, and if the Magic Kingdom has available space. So it is not realistic, and the bus from
Disney's Pop Century Resort is really your best bet.
BONUS TIP #1While a
bus ride to the Magic Kingdom may not be what you were dreaming of, Disney has been updating their fleet, so you will find them to be a great way to get around. Many now have USB charging ports placed throughout the bus for those cell phone battery emergencies!
BONUS TIP #2If you really don't want to ride the bus, there is an alternative. Disney did just announce the return of the
Disney Minnie Van Service Connected by Lyft. It is not free, but it is a real "WOW" when that polka-dot van pulls up to whisk you away to the magic!
Write me back if you have any follow up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!
