I have a skater style dress that has the same pattern as Lilo’s dress, can I wear it to The Magic Kingdom, or would it be considered a costume?

    Hi Tonya,

How fun that you're planning a visit to Magic Kingdom Park, my personal favorite of the theme parks!

I'm happy to let you know that yes, as long as you follow all of the guidelines for attire, you'll be able to wear a dress inspired by Lilo's dress. Have you heard of Disney Bounding? It's when Guests choose clothing, shoes, and accessories that are inspired by a beloved Disney character. Some of my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelists are expert Disney Bounders, and I loved visiting the theme parks with them last fall for my very first Disney Bounding experience! I went as Cinderella with a light blue top, black choker necklace and silver headband. We all had so much fun, and I think that wearing a dress inspired by Lilo sounds like a great idea!

Did you know that you can schedule breakfast at 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and MEET Lilo? It's definitely a magical and fun way to start a Disney day, plus I'm sure she'd love to see your dress!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tonya, and please come back and see us again if we can help with anything else. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
