Hello there, Diana! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for reaching out and asking your Walt Disney World Resort question!
As the summer months begin to approach, I find myself preparing more and more for the hotter temperatures! This is particularly true when planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort during the warmer months!
Large misting fans are under the
prohibited items at all Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, water parks, and Guest areas. However, Guests are allowed to have personal misting fans and other handheld fans. Technically, there is not currently a designated size that dictates what exactly a “handheld” fan can include. That being said, you should be perfectly fine as long as your personal fan can be held in your hands and utilizes batteries instead of plugging into an outlet.
If you’re looking to keep cool during your vacation and will be staying at a Disney Resort hotel, I would recommend looking into
Extra Magic Hours! These exclusive hours take place outside of the normal park operating hours and tend to be a bit cooler. I would also suggest taking short breaks during the hottest portions of the day. This can either be done by finding indoor attractions, such as
The Hall of Presidents at Magic Kingdom, or by going by to your Disney Resort hotel for a power nap. This can help you feel more refreshed and keep you cool during the hot, summer months!
Be sure to let us know if we can help you with planning any other portion of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
