Joseph,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Disney's Wilderness Lodge has long been a favorite resting place for me on my Walt Disney World vacations. I just love it when a resort transports me somewhere, and when I am there I feel like I am squarely in the middle of a National Park, ready for a day of adventure!
The studio rooms in the
Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge have 2 Murphy beds, in addition to the main queen bed. The sleeper sofa is a double-size bed, and there is also a 5th sleeper that is a single-size bed. If you have never been in one before, a double is a bit smaller than a queen, by about 6 inches (15 cm) all around. The 5th sleeper is also a Murphy bed, of sorts. It folds down horizontally and is something for a child or smaller adult. It measures about 30 inches x 67 inches (76 cm x 170 cm), so someone much taller than 5 feet tall would struggle to be comfortable. But they are a tremendous addition to several Disney Resort hotels around the property, as they make it easier for families of 5 to travel together without having to spend the money to get a second room.
BONUS TIPWhen visiting the Wilderness Lodge, if you have the time, you will find two of my favorite lounges in all of Walt Disney World. The
Territory Lounge is located just off the lobby and has a cozy, log cabin ambiance. If you are feeling more outdoorsy,
Geyser Point Bar & Grill is an open-air, covered bar with comfy seating and fantastic waterside views.
