What size luggage is allowed on a cruise and how many pieces per person?

    Welcome aboard, Bill!

If you're asking about luggage for a Disney Cruise, that must mean that you have a magical adventure at sea planned soon! When it's time to start packing, I start to get pretty excited because it means that soon we'll be setting sail for so much excitement and fun! I'm known to have my family's suitcases open weeks ahead of time, dropping in a few items each day as we count down to sailing!

Disney Cruise Line allows guests to check up to two bags per person (of 50 pounds or less each), and carry one one bag and one personal item, so it's very similar to airline restrictions. The carry-on bags must be no larger than 22" x 14" x 9', as they'll be put through an x-ray machine as you enter the cruise port terminal.

Once you check in at the terminal, it's only a matter of time until your boarding number is called and you're entering the grand atrium lobby of the ship, as the Cast Members announce your family name and applaud your arrival. What a fabulous way to begin your magical cruise vacation, Bill!

Have fun as you plan, and please feel free to stop back with any other questions about your cruise before you head out to sea. We're happy to help!
