My sisters and I will be running the Princess Half Marathon in February. We have accommodations at the Hilton Doubletree in Disney Springs. Will there be early morning shuttle service for participants of the Princess half to and from the Doubletree?

Oh my Disney, Karen! You and your sisters are going to have THE best run-cation ever! Each February since 2009, thousands of Princesses lace up their running shoes for the chance to run through Cinderella Castle during the Disney Princess Half Marathon. It is my favorite runDisney race, and I can't wait for you to experience it!

I spoke with someone at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando concierge desk today. She said that they do offer a free shuttle service to the Parks; however, they won't be available early enough to get you to your corral in time for the race. She suggested using Uber or Lyft, but keep in mind that there will be road closures that occur as a result of the race, so allow yourself some extra time. When you get closer to your trip, check the runDisney website for specific transportation details, including rideshare drop off locations. I'm usually in my corral by 4:00 AM, so you'll probably want to request your ride around 3:00 AM.  Go to bed early the night before, and make sure to arrange for that wake-up call because you don't want to be late to the ball...umm I mean race!

Karen, one of the best reasons to run a runDisney race is all the bling you'll get! Check the Disney Parks Blog for a sneak peek of the race medals. Best of luck!
