My sister and I are taking our two teenage daughters to Disney World in June.... non of us have ever been. We booked Animal Kingdom lodge. we have 2 day tickets with park hopper. What are the best things to be sure if we cant do it all?

    Hi Brandie!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you have a fabulous trip planned! You are staying at my favorite Resort on property, and the Park Hopper option is a great way to maximize your visit.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is magnificent! This Resort, based on the traditional African kraal is the best place to stay to impress your teenagers! Four savannas with over two hundred animals and birds call the resort home. One of my teens’ favorite restaurants is also at the hotel. Sanaa is a MUST for our family. You will enjoy delicious and exotic food (perfect for ‘Gram pics!), and selfie opportunities abound with the animals roaming right next to your meal.

With teenagers in the mix, concentrate on the big thrill attractions. Start in Pandora - The World of Avatar where Flight of Passage is the ultimate 3D ride! Afterward, stop by Pongu Pongu and grab a Night Blossom. The delicious limeade even comes with glowing Unadelta Seed - guaranteed to make it on Instagram! Next stop - Expedition Everest where a speeding train helps y'all avoid the clutches of the Yeti.

Head to Magic Kingdom Park and ride the classics - Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Space Mountain never disappoint! Make sure to have the girls take a picture with their Minnie ears on in front of Cinderella Castle - you will cherish the picture forever.

If you have any spare time left, no girls trip should be without a visit to Disney Springs. The shopping is perfection, the food choices are plenty, and you all can enjoy a friendly virtual-reality standoff at The Void!

Brandie, I hope these tips will help make your trip practically perfect in every way!
