Welcome aboard, Amanda!
Wow! Your son and nephew are in for the most magical and MARVEL-ous Mother-Son vacation ever! My son adores the Marvel heroes and loves that Disney Cruise Line includes them on the ships, especially on the special sailings with
Marvel Day at Sea on the
Disney Magic! Just wait until you meet Groot. He is so amazing in person! Boy are your boys in for an exciting adventure! Plus, our mother-son Disney Cruise was one of my favorite Disney sailings ever. I loved having that time just for the two of us to really connect and enjoy time together away from the hectic nature of everyday life back home. You will enjoy this trip so much!
I'm sorry to say that
Disney Cruise Line does not offer transportation from the port of Miami up to Orlando and the
Walt Disney World Resorts. There are
optional ground transfers from Port Canaveral to the Walt Disney World Resorts for guests sailing from there, but you'll need to find other arrangements from Miami. The least expensive suggestion I can offer would be to rent a car and drive yourselves. There are quite a few car rental agencies right near the port of Miami, many that will meet you and pick you up right at the port to go rent your car. The drive from Miami to Orlando is about three and a half hours. But, if the boys have the
all new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge to look forward to, that time will certainly fly by and before you know it, you'll be checking in at
Disney's Pop Century Resort, hopping on the new
Skyliner to get over to
Disney's Hollywood Studios and experiencing a galaxy far, far away!
Have such fun planning this land and sea adventure, Amanda, and please stop back with any other cruise questions before you set sail next year. We're happy to help!
