Oo-de-lally, golly what a day, Deborah!
I'm so glad you followed Robin Hood and Little John through the forest and found your way back here to planDisney! I'm honored to answer your question.
Memory Maker is one of my favorite offerings at Walt Disney World Resort and a must-have for all of our family trips back "home." I love looking back through photos of our past trips together and have over 10 years' worth thanks to Memory Maker. I'm so glad you're interested in purchasing it for your trip!
Memory Maker allows unlimited downloads of all your
Disney PhotoPass media taken on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation for an additional fee. You can scan your
MagicBand or card or
Disney MagicMobile pass throughout your trip to link your photos to your
My Disney Experience account. You will be able to view all your photos in the PhotoPass Gallery in your
My Disney Experience App or from a browser when logged into your account. Disney PhotoPass photos expire 45 days from the date they were taken, so be sure to download them before that happens. Pro tip: When you return home from your magical adventure, be sure to order a
Disney PhotoPass Archive USB flash drive that will have all the photos from your trip loaded onto it.
You can download your photos as well as the photos of up to 25 individuals from your
Family & Friends list from within 30 days from the date of your Memory Maker's activation (first day of use). This means as long as your sister is on your Family & Friends list and her trip falls within the 30 day rule, you should be able to download her pictures for her as part of your Memory Maker purchase. The photos will have a watermark on them in her account, but they won't in yours - this is why you must be the one to download them for her. Keep in mind,
your sister will first need to update her photo sharing permissions in her My Disney Experience account to allow you to view her Disney PhotoPass photos.
Did you know you can easily find more Disney PhotoPass locations near you through your My Disney Experience App? On the interactive map, select "PhotoPass" from the drop-down menu at the top-middle of the map. This will bring up a list of available Disney PhotoPass locations nearby. How cool is that? You can utilize that information to get the most use out of your Memory Maker purchase by taking all the Disney PhotoPass photos you can.
Remember, attraction photos are also included in your Memory Maker purchase, so you might want to make note of the time you experience the attractions that have accompanying photos. I've found that sometimes they don't link to my MagicBand automatically the way they should. If this happens to you too, just call the wonderful Disney PhotoPass Guest Support Team at 407-560-4300 for further assistance. They can use your timestamp information to look up the missing pictures.
Deborah, please stop back by planDisney if further questions arise. We love all things Disney and helping fellow Guests plan their own vacations. Enjoy every moment on your magical adventure!
Reach out and find your happily ever after,
Alyssa
