My sister and I are running the WDW Half Marathon in January. We are staying at Art of Animation. What time is recommended for getting on the bus the morning of the race?

    Hi Ashley!

Thanks for coming back to visit us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You are going to absolutely adore Disney's Art of Animation Resort! It is one of my favorite on property and even though my family will be staying at another Walt Disney World Resort hotel for Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, we still plan on stopping by for my son to explore the Cars area.

If you haven't already, I definitely would recommend checking out the Digital Event Guide because I think it will assist greatly in planning your upcoming runcation. For the Walt Disney World Half Marathon, bus transportation begins at 3:00 AM from your hotel to the staging area near Epcot. Participants must board no later than 3:30 AM to make it to their corral on time. If you want to try and get photos with any characters prior to entering your corral, I would recommend being queued up around 2:45 AM to try and get on the very first bus. It's certainly an early morning, but it will all be worth it when you dash across the finish line and collect your adorable Donald Duck medal!

Please come back and let me know if you have any other questions!
