My sister and I are planning a trip to WDW next year in Oct. to celebrate our 64th and 60th birthdays. Any suggestions for us youngsters, one with limited mobility? Can we reserve a ECV? Will there be shorter lines in Oct. and weather good for swimming?

    Hi Shirley!

Wishing you and your sister a most wonderful birthday celebration at Walt Disney World!

I'm glad you made the decision to rent a scooter for your upcoming stay.  It really is a great way to be able to enjoy the theme parks without having to worry about mobility.  Keep in mind that if you are renting a scooter at the Disney parks, you will not be able to remove the scooter from the parks, so you might want to consider a duration of stay rental from a third party vender.  I've heard great reviews from Walkermobility.com, and they will deliver your scooter directly to your resort on your day of arrival.

As for weather in the October months, it is mostly favorable, with typical highs in the mid 80's.  Perfect for swimming, in my opinion, but keep in mind that Florida weather is unpredictable, so be prepared for the occasional midday shower.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
