My sister & I are planning our next trip for next Nov We are saving up for APs. Can we upgrade to AP when we get there or is it best to get before we come? Wasn't sure what actual start date is when they are purchased.

Hello there, Shelley! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for taking the time to reach back out and allowing us to help you plan another visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

How exciting that you and your sister are planning on becoming Walt Disney World Annual Passholders in the near future! In addition to gaining access to four amazing theme parks, you are also entitled to a variety of perks once you've purchased your Annual Passes! Walt Disney World Annual Passholders receive discounts on select dining locations, recreation rentals, and spa offerings. I would also recommend keeping an eye on the Passholder Extras webpage for any seasonal or limited-time offerings that are available to you in the future!

The duration of your Annual Pass begins once you have activated it at either a ticket window at one of the four theme parks or a Guest Relations location! For example, if you and your sister activate your Annual Passes on November 1st, 2020, they would be valid until November 1st, 2021. This means that the date on which you purchase it is not as important as the date you plan on actually activating it. So, ultimately, when you purchase your Annual Passes is largely up to you!

I hope this information assists you in planning for your upcoming yEAR as a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!
