How does my sister pick us up at Port Orleans Resort at the end of our Disney vacation? She is a resident of Florida and we are going to visit with her for a few days before heading back to PA.

Hey there, Debra! I’m so glad you came to planDisney with your Walt Disney World question.

First off, Port Orleans is such a great resort! I hope you make some time to head over and get some beignets from Scat Cat’s Club – Café

Your question actually has a super easy answer. On your final day at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, if your sister is picking you up early (before 11:00 AM check-out), you can head down to the lobby and wait for her. She will drive right up to the gatehouse at Port Orleans, show her photo ID to the guard and inform him she is picking up some guests. The guard may ask your name, but not always. Then, she pulls right up to the lobby door, and you can load your luggage and yourselves into her car.

How great that you are getting out of the cold of PA in January. After some action-packed days at Walt Disney World, eating all the good food and walking SO many steps, hopefully you will be able to relax at your sister’s for a few days.

Since you will be at Walt Disney World during The Most Magical Celebration on Earth, be sure to check out some fun 50th Anniversary treats that are available all throughout the resort property. I can’t wait to be back in February to try some more of them! I also didn’t find all the Fab 50 Character Collection golden statues, so that is also on my list for my winter vacation to WDW.

    Have a wonderful trip!

    Happy Traveling,
    Tracy
