Hi there, John, and welcome to planDisney!
I am so excited to see a Sunshine State pal stop by with a vacation question. I must say, a stay at
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort sounds absolutely lovely, especially with the nice weather we have here in Central Florida right now. Your family is visiting at the perfect time!
Throughout the years, I have visited many out-of-town friends during their hotel stays at the Walt Disney World Resort. As a daytime visitor, simply let the security guard at the hotel entrance know that you are visiting your family for a short period of time. Have the lead Guest’s name and room number and your own photo identification card ready to go for a smoother experience.
Be prepared for a possible three-hour time limit for your visit, and if you’re wanting to have a longer day (like visiting a theme park with them), I’d recommend meeting them at the final destination instead.
AN EXTRA GEM: Consider enjoying a nice meal with your family at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. Having an advance dining reservation at the Resort hotel is also a fool-proof way of not being turned away for parking lot capacity reasons. Although the
Dahlia Lounge in the Gran Destino Tower does not require reservations, it is one of my absolute favorite places to relax with family and friends at the Most Magical Place on Earth.
John, if you have any other questions about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort, just
give us a holler here at planDisney. I am more than happy to offer more suggestions as well!
Magic always,
LeAndra
