My sister and I are looking for a a non-park activity for the afternoon of our Monday arrival at our Disney resort. How can we find out what activities or classes are offered at the various Disney resorts on a Monday afternoon?

Hi, JoAnn! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for bringing your question to us. Each Walt Disney World Resort offers a wide selection of fun activities each day. From crafts to poolside trivia, you are sure to find something to make your first afternoon practically perfect in every way. One of my favorite activities that has been popping up at some of the Disney Resort Hotels is instructor-led canvas painting. These classes are similar to "wine and paint" shops that you may have in your area, where you are welcome to bring your favorite beverage and snacks to enjoy while the instructor shows you step-by-step how to complete a painting that they have designed. These are SO fun and an absolute blast to do with friends. If this sounds like something you and your sister may want to do, then I recommend you call (407) WDW-PLAY to check the upcoming schedule and reserve your spot at one of these popular experiences.

The Walt Disney World Resort website lists general activities under the Recreation tab found on each resort's page. However, the Resort Experience Guides that contain exact activities and their scheduled times are not normally posted on the website as the planned activities do change monthly. You will find a Resort Experience Guide in your room upon arrival, but this does make it a tad tricky when trying to plan activities for arrival day! There are some third-party websites that try to keep an up-to-date listing of each of these. I usually do a web search for "resort experience guides" to find current ones. Since the guides do update monthly, you really will not have an exact idea of what will be offered until the beginning of the month you visit, but this should help you get an idea of the magic that will be awaiting you!

Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions!
