My sister lives in Orlando and our family is going to visit for a week. We are considering going to Disney World why we are visiting. Can we use her residence for discount tickets?

Welcome to planDisney, Kathleen! I'm so happy to know you will be enjoying a visit with your family next month. Thanks for sending us your question about the Walt Disney World Resort!

It's important to know that only Florida residents are able to use Florida resident theme park tickets. In order to activate these kinds of theme park tickets, you must show Proof of Florida Residency at the Disney Springs Guest Services location or a theme park ticket window.

You can always check for Special Offers that may coincide with the dates of your visit. The best place to find them is on Disney's official webpage. You can also browse the Disney Parks Blog for a mention about promotions. The blog is a great place to keep track of all the happenings at the theme parks.

Kathleen, I hope this information is helpful to you as you continue to plan your vacation. Remember that you can always come back to see us if you have any more questions!
