Hi Erik! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
When Disneyland Resort offers a SoCal Ticket Offer, it's only available for purchase and use by eligible Guests. In order to use these ticket deals, Guests have to live in a select ZIP Code and prove their residence at the entrance with a government-issued photo ID. So, while your sister-in-law could purchase the tickets, you won't be able to use them because you aren't a resident and don't have an ID proving you live in one of the eligible ZIP Codes. I'm sorry if that's disappointing! I'd certainly love it if my cousins could buy me SoCal tickets too, so I understand.
However, not all is lost. There are usually other great discounts available, and who doesn't love a good value? The
Offers & Discounts page is a great place to start. You can also update your MyDisney account to make sure you're receiving all communications from Disney, so you're among the first to know about a great new offer. In fact, a new
admission ticket offer is right around the corner, and all Guests are eligible, regardless of where they live. That's great news for you and me, Erik since I don't live in Southern California either! Maybe this one will be the right deal for your family?
One of the great features of the upcoming ticket offer is the days don't have to be used consecutively. That gives you a lot of flexibility for use! Just be sure to check the blockout dates and make sure there are theme park reservations
available for your preferred park days since availability is not guaranteed. Prices and terms are subject to change.
Have a magical day.
Elizabeth
