Hi! My sister & her family are traveling to Disney the same time my family is & she's booked to eat at Mickeys backyard bbq. If I make reservations will we be able to sit together? She has young kids & I want to enjoy the experience w/ them

    Dear Christina,

Thank you for reaching out to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about planning your Advanced Dining Reservations for Mickey's Backyard Barbeque!

There is no assigned seating at Mickey's Backyard Barbeque, but there are two different categories of seating. All guests in your party must have the same category in order to sit together. The tables are picnic tables, so you will be able to sit at the table together if you arrive together.

I would arrive quite early to the Fort Wilderness Pavilion that day, at least an hour before showtime, and if you are Category 1 I would arrive even earlier than that. There are absolutely no guarantees that you would be seated together, but usually people are friendly and can move slightly around to allow families to sit together even in larger groups.

Again, you must also be sure that you all have tickets for the same category of seating, as there are two different categories.

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
