My sister & I will be at DL in December. We're both getting older. Is there a place for reserved seating for parades, & how do we sign up? Is there a dinner package? Happy to sign up for whatever, just hoping there's something? Thx!

Hi and welcome back to planDisney, Sandy!

I am thrilled to hear you’re planning a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! It looks like your adventure is slated to happen during the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort, one of my favorite times of the year! And, you’re a pal after my own heart, parades are the best! I relate to needing some special seating for these experiences, my knees and back are not quite what they used to be!

Luckily, there are a couple of ways to enjoy entertainment, including parades, with reserved seating! One of the most common ways is by purchasing a Dine Event, dining package at select restaurants. From the website, you’ll want to navigate to “Things to Do” and then “Attractions and Entertainment.” This will populate all attractions and entertainment with the option to filter based on your desired criteria. Find the entertainment you seek and when available, the site will list the offerings. Another way to check is to search specific restaurants to see what they have available. Right now it’s a tad early to see what will be offered for holiday dining since they’re still offering Halloween packages.

You can begin booking dining reservations 60 days in advance, so keep an eye on the dining page to check for openings. A popular restaurant that has consistently offered dining would be Plaza Inn at Disneyland Park. Just remember that all of the offerings are subject to change and while it may have been offered one year, it might disappear the next. Another way is to book a VIP Tour, and depending on the tour package and time of year, you may have the opportunity to reserve seating for entertainment, including the holidays.

While you’re in town, Sandy, you’ll be able to feel the spirit of the holiday season which is so exciting! Additionally, you’ll arrive just in time to experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the newest attraction to Walt’s original park. I’m counting down to my visit to party with Tiana and friends down the bayou! Make sure you keep an eye on Disney Parks Blog as they should be announcing the Disney Eats Foodie Guide for the holidays and follow planDisney on Instagram for tips and tricks for your visit.

Hopefully, this information has been helpful for you, Sandy! If you have any other questions before your trip, please send us another message!

Wishing you and your sister the best holiday adventure!
