My sister and I will be going to Disney next July if we book our trips separately how can we ensure that our rooms will be next to each other

    Hi Jennifer!

A visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is always more fun when it is shared with family and friends. We just returned from a trip with our college friends and their children, and my kids said it was one of the best trips ever! We lucked out in that our friends were about 10 doors down from us on the same floor. We requested to be near them because there is not a way to book rooms next to each other. Even if you booked both rooms on your credit card, you might not be placed near each other.

What you will want to do, is submit a request for your rooms to be close to one another. You will need to call, and have both reservation numbers. The Cast Member will put a code on each reservation that you are a group traveling together, and that you are requesting rooms near each other. Please know that this is truly only a request and is never guaranteed. Cast Members will do their very best, but sometimes it simply is not possible. Also, know that this request can sometimes mean getting into your rooms later in the day since they will prioritize room location over matching a room to your expected arrival time. I would estimate that at least 75% of the time my request for nearby rooms has been granted. And know that you will still have a magical vacation, even if your rooms are a little further apart.

I hope this information helps with your planning, Jennifer, and I hope you’ll send more questions as you plan your big family trip!

    Have a Magical Day!
