Yee-haw, Anthony! Welcome back to planDisney! I'm tickled pink you have a
Walt Disney World Resort visit coming up in a few weeks, and it sounds like you have a whole posse of folks coming along. Let's look at roping a reservation for ya'll!
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is one of my favorite experiences. I recently attended with a group of nine, and we had a blast. We were seated on the second floor overlooking the stage and could spin our seats around to eat our meal or watch the Pioneer Hall Players and their shenanigans. My top tip is to come hungry because the family-style dinner is all you care to enjoy!
As you might know,
dining reservations can be made 60 days in advance, and if you're a guest of a Disney Resort Hotel, you can make reservations for the length of your visit up to ten days. You can book a dinner show for June 16 in a day or two. I just checked availability, and I was able to see open times for a party of 11 for several dates in mid-June.
The tricky part was choosing my "Party Mix," or the ages of the guests who would attend. The system only allowed ten adults; the eleventh guest had to be a child aged 3-9. I wanted to confirm this, so I spoke to a cowboy Cast Member who said that since seats at this venue cannot be moved, parties are sometimes seated at separate, nearby tables. Maximum party size also fluctuates depending on how many large tables are still available for that show.
Anthony, if you have children in your party of 11, I recommend you make one reservation online. When you check in at Pioneer Hall, let the friendly Cast Members know the ages of the kiddos and that you'd like to sit together. They are always ready to go the extra mile to make your experience magical, so they'll do their best to accommodate you.
If you have 11 adults, you'll probably need to make two separate bookings. Since the system only allows you to hold one dining reservation at a time, my tip is to call Disney Dining at (407) 939-DINE at 7:00 AM when your booking window opens to help you make two reservations. This is a popular experience, and the early bird gets the vittles!
Remember that this dinner show must be paid in full at the time of booking, and if you need to cancel, be sure to do so
at least 24 hours in advance.
My party enjoyed browsing the
Settlement Trading Post before dinner. We found resort-exclusive merchandise like a Chip 'n Dale beach towel with "Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort" emblazoned on it. What a perfect and practical souvenir!
Anthony, I hope you rustle up some grub on your upcoming visit. Have a hootenanny of a good time, and
stop by planDisney again!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
