Welcome to planDisney, James!
During the
phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort, numerous
health and safety measures have been implemented, including
enhanced cleaning procedures and
operational changes to allow for physical distancing.
Prior to the closure of Walt Disney World Resort earlier this year, a few attractions did have single rider lines. Guests in the single rider queue would be seated in space left available by parties with uneven numbers of Guests. At this time, each party is seated in its own row/car/ride vehicle. Guests from multiple parties will not be seated together, and seats are intentionally left empty between parties to foster physical distancing. Because those empty seats are left open, single rider lines are not currently in use.
A party of one will have a row, ride vehicle, or coaster car all to themselves (depending on the attraction.) I had to giggle when I saw my friend and fellow panelist Doug's ride photo from
Test Track, sitting alone in a car that normally seats six. I found myself in the exact same situation when I recently had an afternoon to myself to wander EPCOT. My physically distant Test Track
photo is now part of my story of living in these "unprecedented times".
Please stop by planDisney again with any other questions you may have as you prepare for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. We are always happy to help!
