I am a single mom with two girls 5 and 7. My 7 year old wants to ride attractions that my 5 year old does not meet the height requirements for. I am only one person, what do i do ? I can not let the 5 yr old stand by herself while i ride with my 7 yr old .

Hi Yvette!  As a single mom of two myself, I do share your dilemma.  My children are also two years apart, and there came a time when my son was of height for an attraction, and my daughter wasn't.  There are many attractions that are able to sit three or more people, which will enable you to ride with your children.   Examples of these are It's a Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean or Haunted Mansion.  There are attractions that can only accommodate two at a time, such as Spaceship Earth (bench for two); Splash Mountain (two per row) and Tomorrowland Speedway (two per car, one driver).  One option for you is to allow for your oldest child to ride alone.  Yes, its not conventional, but you can walk your child through the queue, and let the Castmember know that you would like to wait for your child at the exit.  This is normally done with Child Swap as well.  In that way, your child can ride the attraction that she desires, while you wait with the younger child.  Another option is to hire a "mother's helper'.  Disney recommends Kid's Nite Out Caregivers, a sitter for hire service which is insured and each sitter Is CPR and First-Aid certified.  They will accompany you to the parks and aid you in all you need to do with your children, should it be dining with them or accompanying them on attractions.   The rate that they quote for 1 child is $14 per hour, and for 2 children, it is $16.50 per hour.  Based on reviews from other moms, they do a wonderful job assisting and engaging with children.

You can contact Kids Nite Out Caregivers at (407) 696-8105 dial 0 for reservations.

I truly hope that you have a magical time with both your children.
