Welcome aboard, Penny! A girls trip with Disney Cruise Line is a wonderful way to get away from the stresses of everyday life at home and escape for some special time with your daughter. I've taken both of my children on individual cruises, just a Mommy and Me escape, and they've been such magical experiences! I'm excited for you and your daughter!
Disney Cruise Line's fabulous
Broadway-style musicals take place twice each night. The first show is around 6:15, so guests that have the second dinner seating can enjoy the show before they eat. The second show is around 8:15, so those who have dined during the main seating have the show to look forward to after dinner. There is no need for reservations, simply arrive a bit before the show begins to find a seat and sit back, relax, and let Disney do what it does best: provide magical entertainment for you!
There are also some fun variety shows that take place in the time period between dining seatings, so after you dine during main seating, you might pop into the D Lounge for a variety show, the types of which vary by sailing, before the Broadway-style show begins in the Walt Disney Theatre. Disney offers so many fabulous types of entertainment, and since the two dining seatings don't conflict with any of it, you'll be able to attend everything and anything you see that suits your fancy!
Be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App before you arrive at the port. Once onboard, you'll then be able to access it to view the schedule of daily events, and also use the fun text feature with your daughter if she has her own mobile device with the app too. The two of you can stay in touch while onboard using this handy app!
I hope those details help as you continue to plan, Penny!
