Hi Lyat,
How exciting to be planning an upcoming Walt Disney World vacation to celebrate your son's 3rd birthday! As a mom of four children, I certainly understand needing to stay within a budget for your trip. I highly recommend visiting just prior to your son's actual birthday, so that he will not have to pay theme park admission. I did the exact same thing with all of my children prior to their 3rd birthday since children under the age of 3 do not require theme park admission. Although you may not be visiting on his actual birthday, you can still celebrate his special day during your visit.
I recommend staying at a
Value Resort hotel in order to take advantage of all the
benefits of staying on-property, while offering a more economical option. I also suggest bringing your stroller from home so that you can use it both inside and outside of the parks and to eliminate the rental cost. Guests are allowed to bring snacks and other food items that do not require heating into the theme parks. My family always brings a few grocery items to enjoy for breakfast in our Guest room and snacks that we take into the theme parks.
Character Dining is a great way to meet several of the Disney Characters while also enjoying a delicious meal. Children under the age of 3 are not charged at Character Dining Experiences or all-you-care-to-enjoy dining locations when sharing from an adult's plate.
I hope this information has been helpful. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out again. Best wishes for a magical birthday trip!
Happy Celebrating,
Jodie
