    I am a single mom with a teenage daughter and we are going on our first cruise in Oct '14 on the Fantasy. I was wondering if there are any singles activities as I am sure my daughter will be at Vibe all the time. Also, is the brunch at Palo 18+ as well?

    Welcome aboard, Theresa! I'm so thrilled to hear that you'll be setting sail next fall for a mother-daughter cruise on the Disney Fantasy. This will be such a wonderful time for you to reconnect with your daughter, as well as time for you each to spend time on your own or with others her age and you with other adults.

    Disney Cruise Line offers events called Singles Mingles. You'll see these listed under the Adults line on your Personal Navigator each day. The Personal Navigator is your schedule of events and activities each day on the ship. 

    If you're interested in meeting other singles, definitely check out the Singles Mingles. From what I hear, it is best to go to the very first one for sure, as sometimes friends meet there and then plan their own get togethers throughout the cruise, besides the other Singles Mingles. So, be sure to stop into the first one and hopefully you'll meet some other solo travelers to spend some time with.

    Your daughter will love Vibe and all it offers. I'd offer the same advice to her as well. Be sure she swings by the Vibe's first night activities, as many teens meet up then and plan their own fun outside the Vibe as well. You wouldn't want her to miss out on that first night's ice breakers when the teens get to know each other and the fun counselors there!

    Palo is an Adult Exclusive restaurant, both for dinner and the brunches, yes, so your daughter will not be able to join you for that meal, however maybe you'll meet another cruiser with whom you can dine there one day or night. It's my favorite restaurant, Theresa! You won't be disappointed there!
