    I am a single mom planning on coming in October with a nine yr old boy for the first time. I need general help with booking, should I or shouldn't I get a meal plan, what should we do first. I am just over loaded with information. Please help!!!!!

    Tonya,

    Moms Panel to the rescue!

    About the Disney Dining Plan, I always say yes! It always saves me money, as long as I pick the right version of the plan, based on how my traveling party plans to dine. With a 9 year old, I am guessing that either the Standard or Quick Service plan would be best. Tell me what kind of dining (table service, counter service) you will do, and I can help more.

    So as to general other planning, here is the simple list of to-dos;

    1. Figure out what parks to go to on what day. If you want me to make suggestions, let me know a) where you are staying (so I can know if you can use Extra Magic Hours) and b) what days will you be here, including if you have time to hit parks on those arrival and departure days.
    2. When you know where you are going on what days, then plan your meals out.

    So write me back a question and we can plan park days. When we are done with that, we can work on meals.

    Have a magical vacation!
