Does the single Lightning Lane work the same way multi pass does; in that once you use it, you get to add another ride without buying another single pass?

    Kachow, Cheryl!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for racing by with your question.  Cheryl, I am a huge fan of both the Lightning Lane Multipass and the Single Lightning Lane options, as it's a great way to maximize the magic of our day when visiting the parks.

Cheryl, the Single Lightning Lane passes are not the same as the Lightning Lane Multipass, as they are specific to a select few attractions.  When you purchase a Single Lightning Lane pass, you are purchasing access to that specific attraction only and it is for one-time use.  You do not have the option to add another attraction after you use the Single Lightning Lane pass.  If you are in a park that has more than one Single Lightning Lane attraction, you need to purchase a Single Lightning Lane for each one (and these are separate transactions.)

You can purchase one Single Lightning Lane pass per Guest per attraction per park day.  For example, if you are visiting Magic Kingdom Park, you can purchase a Single Lightning Lane pass for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and one for TRON Lightcycle / Run for each Guest in your party. But you wouldn't be able to purchase two Seven Dwarfs Mine Train passes for the same Guests on the same day.  Once you use that Single Lightning Lane pass, you do not have the option to reserve any more attractions on that pass. For that, you also need to also purchase the Lightning Lane Multipass which includes different attractions than those in the Single Lightning Lane pass.

Attractions that use the Single Lightning Lane passes currently are:

For the Lightning Lane Multipass, you have different attractions you can select and reserve (they do not include any of the attractions on the Single Lightning Lane pass.)  One thing to note, however, is that for three of the parks, there are two tiers of attractions. You can reserve one attraction in Tier 1 and two attractions in Tier 2 or all three attractions in Tier 2.  At any time, you can hold three reservations, but there always can only be one in Tier 1 and two in Tier 2 or all three in Tier 2 (if you don't have a Tier 1 reservation.)

You can find a complete list of the attractions in the Lightning Lane Multipass Tiers here.  As a reminder, Cheryl, if you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can begin to select your Lightning Lanes beginning 7 days from your check-in date for the entirety of your stay. For Guests staying off-property, Lightning Lane selections can be made beginning three days from their theme park date.    I recommend putting a note in your calendar and selecting these as close to 7:00 a.m.EST as possible (the time when reservations open) to maximize your options.

I hope this helps you, Cheryl! If you have any further questions, zoom back here to see me and I'll get you an answer faster than fast and quicker than quick!

    Magically Yours,
    Keri
