Hi Sharon,
On behalf of the planDisney team, I'm honored to offer you a warm and heartfelt welcome. Thank you for bringing your question to us. What a gift you are to your grandkids, Sharon. I would love to offer some tips to make a Disney Cruise Line vacation more affordable for your sweet family!
With a family of four, you will find that every stateroom aboard a Disney cruise is comfortable and roomy. Since most of your time with three kids will be spent enjoying all the complimentary amenities and activities available on a Disney cruise, you can often save by booking an
Inside Category stateroom. These rooms do not have an exterior view, but you can turn on the television or use the Magical Porthole (on select ships), for a live feed from the bridge to get a picture-perfect view of the ocean.
Another way to save is to book your cruise as soon as the itineraries are released since fares often increase closer to sailing dates. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog which often announces new itineraries first or you can sign up for Disney Cruise Line emails in your
online profile to receive announcements. Also, if you happen to be a Florida resident, special cruise rates are offered from time to time.
I like to use the
Flexible Planning feature to pay for my Disney cruise. This feature allows you to set up payment plans to help budget for your cruise until your final payment is due.
Sharon, I know that at first glance cruise fares may seem out of reach, but consider
all that is included. Keep in mind that all your meals (with a few exceptions), including much of the
In-Room Dining (room service) menu are included in your fare. Amazing
onboard activities for your grandkids are also included.
Broadway-caliber evening entertainment is also included. Once I board the ship, I don't spend much money except on souvenirs or adult beverages!
I hope this information helps you think about options for planning a cruise with your family. Please let me know if you have other questions or if I can provide more information.
I'm sending warm wishes to you and your grandchildren in the year to come.
Shannon
