Hi there, Janet! I am so glad you hopped over to planDisney to ask your gift-giving question.
How incredibly generous of you to want to give the gift of a Walt Disney World ticket!
Depending on the people you are purchasing Walt Disney World tickets for, you have two options that I feel are viable. First, if you know when the person is planning to travel to Walt Disney World, and for how long, you can
visit the website and purchase tickets based on the date. You will select a base ticket and add park hopper on the next page, and then check out. You will be sent a confirmation code that you can present to the gift recipient, and they can link that ticket to their
MyDisneyExperience account.
If you aren’t sure when they might be visiting, you can still visit the Walt Disney World website, and price out a park hopper ticket. But instead of buying the actual ticket, you can then visit the
Disney Gift Card Website to purchase a gift card in the amount of the ticket. This allows flexibility in not only the date of the ticket, but if your recipient plans a longer stay, they can use the gift card towards a longer park ticket as well.
Whichever way you decide to purchase, I would recommend purchasing one ticket at a time, so that you have individual confirmation codes to gift. You could even print a cute “coupon” to wrap up or put into a card.
I hope this helps with planning your gifts! Have a magical day.
Happy Gifting,
Tracy
