I see there are signifcant resort price differences between the last week of September 2011 and the first week of October 2011. Do you have any sense as to why this is? And do you see any big differences (e.g. are the crowds bigger, is it hotter?)?

    Hi Karen,

This is my educated take on the difference in price. September is traditionally a slow month for travel. Everyone has gone back to school so it is tough to take a vacation in September. Also in Florida, you can still see a hurricane pop up which makes guests hesitant to travel during this month.

As for October, some schools use the first two weeks as break especially if they start in July or go year round. You also have lower chance of hurricanes. Plus one of my favorite events, Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is open during the month of October, and you have Halloween with Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP).

You will find lower crowds in September but it will be cooler in October.

If you want to experience either of the above, October will have more choices though you may a Halloween party during the last week in September.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
