I have signed my 5 year old and I up to have a dolphin encounter. Do we need wet suits? Thanks!

Welcome aboard, Deborah! It sounds like you'll soon be heading south to the warm waters of the Caribbean with Disney Cruise Line!

You didn't mention which port of call or which exact adventure you'll be enjoying when you swim with the dolphins, and since there are so many, I can't tell you specifics about that particular location. However, I can tell you that you are not required to wear a wet suit at most locations though life vests are typically required. Many locations do offer wet suits for guests should they choose to wear one. For example, my daughter and i enjoyed swimming with the dolphins at Blue Lagoon in Nassau a few months ago during our Disney cruise port stop there. There, they offered us wet suits to wear should we choose to do so. Since it was November, I figured we'd wear them in case the water was cold (and I'm a wimp about cold water!), but the water was nice and warm and we would have been find without them. It was nice that they were available either way.

Have fun as you continue to plan your cruise, Deborah. If you have other questions stop back and let me know! I'm happy to help!
