Hi there, Abi!
Welcome to planDisney and congratulations on becoming a Magic Key Holder! I know how valuable these special Passes are and what many people had to go through in order to get one. I've had mine since the program first began. I'm extremely happy with it and I hope you will be too!
It's such a cool perk for us California residents to be able to pay off our
Magic Key Pass over time. It makes it financially possible for many Guests and opens up a whole year of magic by being able to return to the Disneyland Resort time and again. When you do sign up for a Magic Key Payment Plan, you are sent a Payment Plan Contract in the Confirmation email you received from Disney. In that contract, it states that, after your initial down payment, "all other payments must be made through automatic charges to your credit/debit card account." Therefore, you will see an automatic charge every month to the credit or debit account you listed for payments. You don't need to make the payments yourself.
Have you activated your shiny new Key yet? If not, when will you be visiting the Disneyland Resort next? They've posted a handy
Events Calendar for the entire year so you know what to expect when you schedule a visit. There's plenty going on this year and it's never a bad time to visit! I would highly recommend checking out the
Magic Key Terrace in Disney California Adventure. It's like our own special hideaway!
Fun Fact: The term "Magic Key" dates all the way back to when
ticket books were used in the Parks. Disneyland Park opened in July of 1955 but ticket books weren't introduced until October. Roy O. Disney purchased the very first Disneyland ticket!
Abi, I hope that this was a helpful answer for you and that you enjoy your own Magic Key to the fullest! If you need anything else, please feel free to come on by again because we'd love to hear from you. Until next time!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
