Hiya, Sheri!
Happy to help you with your question today. If it's your first time or your first time in a while, I know there's lots of new to see and do to prepare for your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. We here at planDisney love to help fellow Guests navigate their way to the magic.
Guests planning a park day are required to have both a theme park ticket in addition to a
theme park reservation. While the ticket gets you into those Main Entrance Gates, the reservation holds your spot in a particular park on a particular day and is limited in number. Additionally, each ticket type - One Park Per Day, Park Hopper, 70th Special Anniversary Ticket, etc - has its own pool of reservations. If you purchased your theme park tickets on the Disneyland website and selected a day as part of the process, your work is done! You've already made your theme park reservation, and your tickets are loaded into the account used to make the purchase. To double-check, head to the "My Disneyland" tab along the top navigation bar on the website and scroll down to "
My Plans" to see if any exist in your account. If not, don't worry, let's see what we can do.
Let's make sure your theme park tickets are linked to your account. Head to "My Disneyland" again and select "
Change your Theme Park Ticket". Here, you will either see the tickets linked to your account or the option to "Link Tickets". If you need to link them, once you hit the button, you will just enter the ticket ID number found under the barcode. Once tickets are linked, you can head back to "My Disneyland", this time selecting "Theme Park Reservations" followed by "Make or Modify Park Reservations". Follow the steps from there, and hopefully you will be all set with a quick wave of your magic wand!
Phew, are you still with me, Sheri? You can also make these reservations on the Disneyland app, if that's easier for you. I promise that once you are on the site or in the app, it becomes much more intuitive than reading the instructions in black and white. If you aren't sure which day you are planning to visit but want to check availability, you can always consult the "
Park Ticket Availability" calendar, which updates live as Guests are making and canceling their reservations. Be sure to toggle to your ticket type along the top.
If you're planning a last-minute trip, I recommend taking advantage of the
Mobile Dine Walk-up feature in the app. Once you have scanned into the park, tap the "+" in the bottom navigation bar, selecting "Check Dining Availability". When it comes to selecting a time, choose "Now" to see which table-service restaurants may have last-minute tables available that day. You never know, you might snag a seat at Blue Bayou or other hard-to-get locations!
Sheri, I sure hope this has been helpful and you are on your way to making magical memories. If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney!
See ya real soon!
Tara
