Hi if unforeseen circumstances arise and you need to cancel the holiday and you did it through the app how do you cancel it manythanks

    Hiya Natalie,

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for submitting your question to us.

As Walt Disney once said, “Time and conditions change so rapidly that we must keep our aim constantly focused on the future”. Here at planDisney, we understand that life sometimes has a way of changing our plans. So if in the future you need to cancel a visit to the Disneyland Resort, here are the various ways you can -  depending on what selections you made when booking your visit.

If you wish to cancel a Disneyland Resort Vacation Package (a combined hotel and theme park ticket package), you can go into the Disneyland App or log into your Disney account on the Disneyland Resort website to cancel. If you cancel your reservation 31 days or more before your planned visit date, you will receive a full refund. If it is 30 days or less before your vacation dates, you will receive a partial refund that does not include the initial $200 deposit paid when you booked the vacation. You can also review the Disneyland Resort Vacation Package Terms & Conditions for more information.

If you only booked a hotel reservation, you can proceed with cancellation the same way. Log into your Disney account via the website or mobile app and cancel your reservation under “My Hotel Reservations”. You can also speak with a friendly Cast Member on the Hotel Reservations line for assistance.

If you also need to cancel an advanced dining and/or theme park reservation, log into your Disney account and view these reservations under “Future Plans”. Once you locate the reservation you wish to cancel, click on it, scroll to the bottom, then select “Cancel Reservation”.

Finally, if you purchased individual theme park tickets (not in a vacation package), I’m sorry to report that they are nonrefundable. Unused one-day tickets are valid through December 30, 2025, and unused multi-day tickets are valid through January 12, 2026. Therefore, you can use those purchased tickets on a future visit to the Disneyland Resort! If you have further questions about ticket purchase, you can speak with a Cast Member on the Tickets line who will happily assist!

If you have other questions about the Disneyland Resort, remember - you’ve got a friend in me!
