Welcome aboard, Jennifer! Disney cruises offer something for everyone in the family, not just the kids! In fact, my husband and I enjoy taking Disney cruises on our own too, and have just as much fun, if not more! (Shh... Don't tell our kids!)
Besides the Adult Exclusive restaurants, fun evening venues, and of course the Quiet Cove adults-only pool, there are
Mixology classes and adult beverage tastings throughout each sailing too. My husband and I have tried quite a few of these:
Chocolate and Liquor tasting (my favorite!), Martini and Champagne Tastings, Stem to Stern Wine Tastings, and a few others. Once you've enjoyed these tastings, you might be up for learning to make your own drinks, which is where the Mixology class comes in. Guests are invited to the bar where you'll learn about the correct glasses to use for each drink, where the drinks originate, and step by step on how to create the cocktails yourself. Tasting your creations is half the fun too! The bartenders who lead these classes are so much fun that you'll be fully entertained the entire time, and they are very generous with their pours, so be sure to eat before you arrive because some of the drinks are pretty strong!
If you're interested in signing up for one of these classes, which carry a different cost each, from $20 up, per person, I suggest that you swing by Guest Services as soon as you board the ship to ask what days each is offered and then register. Be sure to look in that first Personal Navigator that you receive as you check in at the port terminal, as it may list a different sign up location for embarkation day. Don't wait to head to the sign up location once you board because some of the classes fill up quickly!
Have fun, Jennifer!
