    When and how do you sign up for the 5K on Castaway Cay? We are sailing Sept. 21, 2013 on the Fantasy.

    Ahoy Sharon!
    As a runner  myself I enjoy kicking off my day on Disney's Bahamian paradise with the Castaway Cay 5K! The run is on a paved, flat path with a few water stops along the way!  The sign-up takes place the morning of the race usually around 8:30 to 8:45 am in one of the lounges onboard.  There will be a crew member there passing out official "runDisney" bibs which makes a great keepsake from your cruise! The race begins shortly after near the bike rental hut on the island. You can disembark the ship with the group or meet the group at the starting line (just be sure to check with the crew member about the actual start time).  All the details for this event will be listed in your Personal Navigator, the daily cruise newsletter which will be delivered to your stateroom the night before. 
    Castaway Cay 5K t-shirts are available for purchase at the gift shop, Buy the Seashore which is located next to start line.  I enjoy wearing my race t-shirts so this may be the perfect souvenir for you too!
