We'll be at the 5:15 showing of the Aloha show on 11/11. What time does it get dark at this time of year? Will we feel like we are missing out on anything with the fire dance if it's not dark out? Is it canceled if it rains? Chances of rescheduling slim?

I just checked online and found that sunset at WDW on November 11. 2008 will be at 5:35 p.m. The fire-related parts of the show are near the end of the performance. It will be fully dark before this presentation begins.

The Spirit of Aloha show is performed outdoors and it is occasionally canceled. I once had tickets to that show and had it canceled because it was too cold for the performers. Other factors that might cause cancelation are rain and wind. When our show was canceled, we were offered a refund or rebooking. We took the refund because there was no show availability during the remainder of our vacation. You might experience something else.

If you are at all concerned about the weather, I would be sure to call the Polynesian and inquire about the situation before you head over to the resort. The guest relations desk at your hotel or at any of the theme parks can help you with this call.

    Good luck!
