Ready to begin, Emily? Welcome to planDisney where we dive in with our hearts wide open to help guests plan magical
Walt Disney World Resort visits. Let's look at how the
Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Post Party works.
I spoke to a dream-sparking Cast Member who said guests are strongly encouraged to arrive and check in at
Tomorrowland Terrace close to that 60-minute window. Cast Members will escort guests as a group to a roped-off viewing area before
Happily Ever After begins, so if you're late checking in, you might miss the escort. That area gets congested before the fireworks, so I recommend you stick to that plan.
I checked the
calendar, and it looks like Happily Ever After begins at 8:00 PM most evenings around your arrival, so you will be checking in at 7:00 PM. I think you might have time for an attraction or two after dinner.
As your dinner winds down, I recommend checking wait times on the
My Disney Experience Mobile App by tapping the Tip Board tile and choosing Magic Kingdom. Tap Attractions and Shows to see how long the current standby queues are. You might try Mickey's PhilharMagic, Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, or "it's a small world" since those typically have lower wait times. As soon as the bill is paid, you'll have a plan in place!
If you don't have time for any experiences, my backup tip is to
mobile order the
Frozen Mint Julep Lemonade at
Casey's Corner a little before check-in time and take it to Tomorrowland Terrace. I love that it's tart, sweet, and alcohol-free.
Once you've checked in, find a place to relax and spend some time looking at your photos from the day and catching up with your party. Since you'll be standing during the show, resting for a bit and catching your breath might be nice.
Emily, I hope the wonder takes hold on your upcoming visit. Please
stop by planDisney anytime. We'd love to help your story come alive!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
