Has the shortage of RD unit parts at the Astro Mech Build in Hollywood Studios been resolved or is a BB unit still the only option?

Bright Suns, James!  I'm glad you have found us here at planDisney.

It sounds like you might be headed to Droid Depot during your upcoming visit to Black Spire Outpost to build your very own custom astromech droid unit.  A few weeks ago, R-series droid parts were briefly unavailable, however, parts have since been restocked and both R-series and BB-series droids are available to build.  My friend and fellow panelist Cindy was able to confirm with a resident of Batuu that hundreds of R-series parts are currently in stock as of this writing.

If you find yourself with an appetite after building your droid, stop by Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo for some local Batuuan fare.  My personal favorite is the Felucian Kefta and Hummus Garden Spread.  I am also very excited to try the Cold Brew Black Caf at Kat Saka's Kettle during my next visit.

James, please let us know if you have any additional questions.  We are always happy to help.
