    I am shopping on a tight budget are the prices at Downtown Disney cheaper or basically the same as the parks? Also is there different merchandise available between the parks and downtown? Thanks.

    Hi Allison,

    It is very hard for me to remember my budget when we are at Disney World. There are so many great items that seem to be calling my name, so it is always a great idea to plan out what you can afford and stick to that plan.

    Typically the merchandise that is available at the parks is also available at Downtown Disney, especially at the World of Disney store. There are a few exceptions, as some of the parks offer special merchandise unique to their park or the attractions located there. Another exception is the merchandise sold in the World Showcase countries at Epcot. This merchandise is unique to the country it is located in and is not found at other locations. The prices on Disney property is the same from one shop location or park to another. If you see a shirt or mug at Magic Kingdom, odds are you will be able to find it at the World of Disney and possibly even other merchandise shops at the other parks for the same price.

    I have found that I like to spend the entire day window shopping and make my selections at the end of the day or trip after I have had a chance to decide what I like the most. Happy shopping!
